Duffy Role Model Assembly

Tuesday, 8th April saw our first Duffy Role Model assembly for the 2014 school year. Gavin Hill, a well known rugby league player spoke to the school about the importance of reading as a life skill, helping you to have choices and options as you are growing up. There were lots of questions from the children ~

What was your favourite book when you were little? Green Eggs and Ham

What do you like to read now? Fishing magazines

What sport do you like best after rugby league? Cricket

There were questions about what life was like living in Australia and playing professional rugby league. Gavin then gave out this term’s Duffy books – one for each child in the school. Happy holiday reading every one!
